Labuan Bajo, Komodo & Flores
The komodo dragon is the world’s largest species of lizard, and the only living ‘dragon’. The islands of Rinca and Komodo comprise a major part of Komodo National Park. Here you can encounter other exotic wildlife, including civets, deer, macaque monkeys and cockatoos. Scuba or snorkel the crystal-clear waters around north Komodo, where shallow hard coral reef formations are home to myriad schools of fish. Try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking, or enjoy a refreshing dip in the sparkling waters.
